My painting Summer Evening Sail has been selected as part of the statewide salon style 2D art competition and exhibit at the Triton Museum of Art located at Santa Clara University. I very much appreciate that the Triton Museum is hosting the show. My thanks also goes to Aly Gould (Executive Director, Pacific Art League) who juried this year’s show.

The Triton Museum of Art is located at 1505 Warburton Avenue in Santa Clara. Museum hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 11:00 to 4:30. There will be an opening reception Saturday May 25 from 2:00 to 4:00. This is always a special show. Hope to see you there.

Three of my paintings are currently on view as part of this year’s juried painting show hosted by the Coastal Art League. I am really delighted that my painting “Passage” of Resurrection Bay Alaska received an Honorable Mention from the jurors as part of the show. The show is up through April 27 at the Coastal Art League gallery at 300 Main Street in downtown Half Moon Bay. Gallery hours 12:00 to 5:00 most days (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

Also in the show is my painting “On the Boardwalk” strollers at the beachside amusement park in Santa Cruz and “Afternoon Windsurfers” which was painted at Shoreline Park in Mountain View.

My painting “Coming and Going” will be part of the biennial juried exhibit referred to as the Greater Bay Area Open. A reception for the Show will take place on Thursday November 16 from 5-7 pm. The show will be up through Saturday March 9, 2024 at the New Museum Los Gatos (NUMU).

NUMU is located at 106 E. Main Street in Los Gatos. They are open Friday – Sunday from 10am – 4pm. (408) 354-2645. Three of my paintings are currently on view as part of this year’s juried plein air painting show hosted by the Coastal Art League. I am really delighted that my plein air painting “Coming and Going” of the Santa Cruz small boat harbor was awarded with 2nd place as part of the show. The show is up through August 27 at the Coastal Art League gallery at 300 Main Street in downtown Half Moon Bay. Gallery hours 12:00 to 5:00 most days (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays).

These pieces were painted on location at the Santa Cruz Small Boat Harbor, on the shore in Pacific Grove and a pier on South Lake Tahoe. The photo at the top of this page was taken while I was painting the incoming waves in Pacific Grove.

Four times a year, the California Art Club conducts an Excellence in Traditional Fine Art Competition. I am thrilled that Sarah Gianelli, editor of American Art Collector, chose my piece “Sailing Toward Alcatraz” for inclusion in the online showcase.

After taking a two year pandemic-related break, the Firehouse Art Center is hosting their 11th edition of the “Fresh Works” juried art exhibition. Ashley Voss, Director of Voss Gallery in San Francisco, is the juror for the show and I am so very happy to have my painting “Heading Out” included in the show.

The Harrington Gallery is a beautiful art space inside the Firehouse Arts Center in Downtown Pleasanton at 4444 Railroad Avenue.

Three of my paintings have been selected for inclusion in this juried painting show that will be on view at the Coastside Arts Gallery in Half Moon Bay at 300 Main Street. The gallery is open from 11:00 to 4:00 except on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

The show is on view at Curated by the Sea Gallery located at 703 Front Street in Santa Cruz. My painting “On the Boardwalk” has been juried into a show that includes fifty paintings celebrating California. The 50+ pieces that have been featured can be seen on the California Art Club website.

The gallery is located at 300 Main Street in Half Moon Bay. My painting Celadon Morning is included in this year’s show.
