Morning at the Stables

I painted this at Quail Hollow Ranch in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It was the light hitting the horse trailer that first captured my attention as I was painting on site. Later, I decided the scene needed some animation. That’s when I added the horse and rider that passed by my painting spot.
