50 artists each create 50 art pieces over 50 days for a show that will be on view in Pacifica. The show is hosted by The Sanchez Art Center which is located at 1220 Linda Mar in Pacifica.

Each artist has selected a theme. Mine is Yosemite in Violet and Gold. My oil paintings are 6” x 6” and priced at $150. Reach out to me if you’d like more information. I am able to facilitate pre-sales through September 9 though any pieces purchased will need to be physical installed at Sanchez Art Center until September 13. That is the day the show opens to the public.There are timed ticketed pre-opening opportunities on the 11th and 12th as part of a Sanchez Art Center fundraiser.

Those of us who paint outside find it to be both a challenge and a joy. I am delighted to have three pieces included in the show.

Very lovely to have one of my paintings included in the Sausalito Landscape Show. I very much appreciate the juror, Carolyn Meyer for selecting my painting for the show. Carolyn is the Director of the School of Fine Art Painting at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Her work includes a range of abstracted San Francisco Landscapes that I find to be so inspirational.

This chow coincides with the Sausalito Art Center’s Plein Air Invitational. I am really looking forward to seeing all of these freshly created beauties as well.

Both shows are currently on view at 750 Bridgeway in Sausalito. There are receptions for both shows on August 9 and August 27.

I have four paintings in this year’s plein air painting show hosted by the Coastal Art League. You can see the show at their gallery at 300 Main Street in Downtown Half Moon Bay.

I love that my painting “Sailing Lessons” has been selected for inclusion in California Art Club’s Traditional Fine Art Competition and online exhibition. The show presents a range of vignettes of American life to celebrate America’s 250th birthday and California at 175.

My painting “Sidewalk Stories” is part of this year’s Pacific Art League Show at their gallery in downtown Palo Alto. The address for the gallery is 668 Ramona Street (on the corner of Forest & Ramona). The opening reception is on Friday May 8 from 5:30pm to 8:00 pm.

What a delight to learn that my painting “Oasis Palm Canyon” received the top award as part of this year’s show. If you find yourself in Half Moon Bay in April, I encourage you to check the show out. The Coastal Arts League Gallery is located at 300 Main Street in Downtown Half Moon Bay.

“Early Spring, Half Moon Bay” savors our early chartreuse fields and “Intertidal Morning” encourages us to enjoy (but watch our step) along the rocky shore of Pescadero.

I have two pieces that are in this year’s show one of which received an Honorable Mention for my painting “Waking Canyon.”

I painted” Waking Canyon on site it the fall at McGee Canyon in the Eastern Sierras. The second painting “Beneath Carson Peak” is a larger piece that I painted in my home studio using small oil paintings I did along this stretch of Rush Creek In the June Lakes area.

I really appreciated that the awards juror, Warren Chang, provided comments about each of the paintings selected for ribbons. I was kind of blown away that five of us who have become plein air painting friends each won awards which made. So fun to share the moment with them and the studio painters who also received ribbons. So delighted to learn that my painting “Intertidal Morning” was awarded second place as part of the Los Gatos Art Association’s “Artist of the Year” event. This group has been instrumental in the development of my art practice and it bring me in contact with amazing painter friends. I particularly appreciate the organization’s Monday plein air painting group.
